    i am new to the grand and would like the some help on what flies guys are using and what times people are fishing i have caught some browns on streams that feed the grand but haven even seen a brown on the grand

    I would say, any time but august. The catch and release areas of the grand between the lake and south of Elora will hold trout. The bigger ones have been caught several times and will be pretty wise. Match the hatch.

    Sorry about being late to the thread. Fishing the Grand for browns is a beast all in its own right. Ive done a lot of fishing up there and have yet to land a big one they are very wise it requires patience , a good sense of your surroundings and near perfect presentaion. Id suggest reading up on the hatch chart with regards to the types of flies that hatch like catus and ants BWO's ect think small if your fishing the upper grand dries can go as low as 26 and im sure smaller although smallest ive go any on is 22 biggest 12. streamers dries and nymphs are all effective in their own right. Youd be amazed at what you notice when u really pay attention. Hope this is useful good luck tight lines

    Chuck streamers! Or dead drift 18-20 sized nymphs. Those are the easiest ways to find some big ones. Look for deeper water below riffles ����
