I have a couple days off work the first week to host dad at my place, no bucks but tons of coyotes and fox. I will get to take the wife out hunting in the evenings, I hope we can wrestle something up for her but just getting out is important.

I've been cut down to only the first three days of the rifle season by 'circumstances'. Will be hunting solo and leaving my place at 2AM Monday for a 3 1/4 hour drive straight to the bush (55A). It's a meager deer population area but I've hunted it for 40 years, why stop now, lol.

Two weeks at the camp, hounds are ready to rock and roll. We only have two doe tags for 14 guys!!!!!!! We had 7 last year and left 3 on the table by intention. Weather looks great. This is our 105 th year at Middlebranch Hunt Camp, WMU 63A.
Have fun, play safe and enjoy the hunt and your neighbours. We are all in this together.

I leave first thing Saturday morning for wmu 49. Chores and trail cleaning on Saturday and have at her Monday. We have one doe tag but will not fill it. Herd is too low in our area.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.
