Lots of coyotes in 82A
Just back with my son after 2 days in 82A. Lots of coyotes and not too many deers. I saw 3 coyotes on Monday morning and 2 on Tuesday morning. My son finally put one down and both of us surprised how many they are out there. Deer population is quite low compare with other years and we saw just one. Speaking with our neighbors, all are blaming the coyotes. In the last 5 years I can say this is the worst one in term of deer populations.

Hmmm, I hunted 82a the last couple days. Saw 3 deer yesterday and 2 today, of which I harvested 1 this morning. Heard lots of shots going off so others harvesting deer. I would say it's less shots than last year so population could be down, or just not moving as yet. The landowner indicated he hasn't seen/heard coyote since the summer. I'm heading out tomorrow for coyote in 80 for an outer landowner who has had issues woth them. Happy hunting.

We hunted 82a this week too. In our area. Very few shots al week compared to previous years. Only saw 5 deer total this week. And a few coyotes. Deer numbers are way down. At least in this area.
