Controlled hunt dates

A few people think because the co trolled tag is dated untill sunday. That even if that area doesn't have sunday gun hunting that you can still hung on Sunday. I told them you can't. They say yes. What is it? As I a. New to the controlled hunt

You can only control hunt or hunt with a gun on Sundays that allow Sunday gun hunting.... It goes by township not WMU.... Your season goes by WMU...

So the season goes by WMU.................... and Sunday gun hunting goes by Township.................. So one WMU can be open until Sunday but a part of that WMU area (township) may not allow gun hunting on Sunday....Bottom line, make sure the area allows gun hunting on Sunday and that the season is open on Sunday for that WMU area.....If still not sure post specific area (township and WMU) and someone will be able to answer it a little more clearly for you...

Depends on area. Whole wmu may not necessarily be in a Sunday hunting zone. Check the map.

Some people are dumb. Do not read the regulations and like to break the law. Cannot argue with these type of people. Sorry but when I see poachers and guys and girls who do this I just let them be. No point in fighting with hunters who give the rest of the guys who follow the rules a bad name.

Thanks everyone that's exactly what I said. If Sunday gun hunting isn't allowed in that area you can not.

Between the Hunting Regs and Municipal (Township) rulings you go with the most restrictive rule. The Hunting Regs cover a WMU which includes many municpalites all with their own ability set their own discharge rules.

Most controlled hunts are Monday to Friday..i will say right on your validation tag the dates you can hunt!

The southern parts like 90 run from Monday till Sunday. It is very easy to find out if your area has Sunday gun hunting

If someone doesn't understand what no gun hunting means and they're hunting with a gun on Sunday in a municipality that doesn't allow it, well... they might be an idiot.

Not to start a big discussion but I live in 90A in Haldimand and they dont allow sunday hunting
