Has too much time on their hands
Thanks everyone. He's in the freezer now, Dad and I cut and wrapped him last night.

Thanks Mike! I'm definitely making a point of trying more mid-afternoon hunts in the years to come. It makes perfect sense for deer to be up and moving around while the woods are quiet during midday, and the rut just increases the activity. I got a chance to read about your afternoon buck as well, congrats!

It's quickly growing on me Jim! She's a little heavy to lug around but that's no big deal. Does that other stock I got from you lighten it up much? If so, how is the balance affected?
