I also have a camp in 56 and it was quiet as well but it still sounds like you had some good times and that is what it is all about, a kill is a bonus.

Sounds like you're hunting in the Hindon deer yard. It used to be filthy with deer back in the late 70's - mid 1980s, after it had been heavily logged. Forest succession has turned that whole area into moose habitat now. A good bush to hunt if you can draw a moose tag.

Yuup for sure The old boys did really well back in the day They pulled Moose out with a sleigh and a team of horse's The deer have really dropped off the last 10 years due to the logging not much we can do till the new growth comes back For sure the Moose sign is unreal every where we go You hit the nail on the head thought getting a tag is the hard part 3 years in a row 12 guys applying no tags Tuff hunting for calfs when all you see is big bulls and cow's wandering everywhere

I saw four bucks closer to 118. Missed on a dandy buck on Saturday. Seven days in the woods with only one shooting opportunity. Oh well, heading to Alberta this week for ten days. I should be lucky out there.
