No luck in WMU76. Tag soup this year. Like many have mentioned, most of the trailcam pics were of deer movement in the late PM or very early AM.

Temps got nothin to do with it in my mind. Rut is based on alot of things, mostly legnth of daylight

deer move durin the day in july and augest when the temps are 90 degrees. also there are deer in south texas where its stinkin hot at peak rut too

Yes but this time of year deer have their winter coats. In unusually hot weather they will be most active in the coolest part of the day which is night time usually. Rut is primarily triggered by daylight hours though.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

What TerryM said. Yes run is triggered by length of day. But deer movement is influenced by many things - temperature being one of them, hunter pressure is another, change of weather, particularly cold fronts moving through.

Just back from a week in 7b. We only saw 4, all huge bucks but couldnt connect. Lots of deer on the field cams, but all at night.
Lots of fresh sign in the cuts and big timber, but they were definitely not moving in the daylight. It was also very warm for this time of the year. I can't ever remember weather as warm.
