Thumbs up Wild Duck au Poivre

Not sure if folks on the forum use Hank Shaw's website: Hunter Angler Gardener Cook, but if you haven't, I strongly recommend giving it a try.

I recently got a chance to try out his recipe for Duck au Poivre with a mallard and it turned out exceptionally well.

Definitely becoming a staple in my house.

Thanks for the link to the recipe! I shall try it this weekend. Great site as well! Looks like I will also be using some deer meat for the Kung Pao Venison recipe on there. Much appreciated.

    Hey Finsfurfeathers,
I didn't add the recipe because I didn't create it, but actually borrowed it off Hank Shaw's website http://honest-food.net/2014/04/03/st...e-recipe-duck/. My post does include a link to the recipe on his website though ( click on the word "Recipe" at the end of the second paragraph or use the link in this post).

Hank did such a bag up job on the recipe I thought he deserves the credit and the web traffic.

    Cheers

Hi Al (Captain Cotton). I enjoy your blog. It is very well written and always a good read. I admire your passion and idealism of Ontario and the outdoors. Look forward to future stories 'from the Wild.'

    Thanks Ihunt!
Writing about my trips in the outdoors has been a lot of fun, not to mention a great way to document the learning curve.
Glad to see others are enjoying reading it as much as I enjoy writing.

    Cheers
