Status of the rut near Thunder Bay?!

Hello All,

Has anyone seen indication as to where we are in the rut? We have been out hunting in the tree stands and have not seen hardly ANYTHING during the day....just a few does at the last minute. However...lots of bucks in the middle of the night on camera.

Anyone seeing rut action around Thunder Bay?!

Pretty sure the primary rut is all but over. Another week or more and the secondary rut should be starting, although not as good as november, it can have some pretty active days. Good luck!!

Rut is over as it pertains to the chasing phase. That primarily occurred first week of November and into second week. You as many other hunters and myself are feeling the joys of the lockdown phase of the rut. Bucks are starting to feed again and the secondary rut will kick in, but in my experience it's not an active rut here.
