Default Savage 10ML ii stock upgrade ?

Well after lugging the Savage 10ML ii around for a week I came to the conclusion that the gun is amazing however the factory stock is a piece of crap... LOL

I am looking to upgrade to a better synthetic or wooden thumbhole stock. I had a thumbhole on my TC Omega & it was the ticket...

If any of you Savage users have upgraded your stock please let me know what you have & where it came from...

    Cheers!

    Jeff

I got a Richards Microfit for one of my earlier savages. Nice stock and it came about 90% finished, I had to tweak the inletting and sand down and put on the finish. I used Tru oil approx. 15 coats and the stock looks and wears great. It is considerably heavier than the Tupperware stock but feels and shoots much better. The Thumbhole takes a little getting used to especially for snap shots, but not impossible.
I don't have any pics of just the rifle just a few with game.

You can buy drop in stocks from savage as I have done or the other two suggestions above are excellent.

Here's a pic of the Savage along with 3 other Remington smokeless muzzies. The Savage is in the process of being converted to a .45, I have a new pacnor barrel on the way. (Yeah I still have it I don't have todays newspaper to put along side it tho )

Nice collection smokeeter. Post a pick of your converted 45. Would definitely like to see the finished smokeless conversion.

    Thanks in advance.
