Beauty but it might be a little over price, no?
I was looking at one of them back in the spring for the same price but after some research 600/650$ was more like it...

I have a huntin' buddy that bought one exactly like this from Griffin's Guns in Peterborough in 1975 for $189. It's still in mint condition. He'll be surprised to find out they're selling for between $700 and $900. I asked him to leave it to me in his will. LOL

I believe that the basket weave checkering came out post 64, pressed rather than cut. the Pre 64 88s have usually a higher value than the post 64.
