Personally, I give a wide berth around other hunters, or in this case other hunter's stuff, when I hunt public land... I am of the opinion that if it's not mine, I leave it alone and move on...

Not to hijack, but how about game cams? If you stumbled across one, would you open it, then remove and view the memory card pictures on your phone/tablet and then replace?

Leave it and hunt somewhere else, maybe hunt some other crown land..........

If I find the crown land first I should be able to do as I please on it and not worry about other hunters interfering with my hunt. I like to find crown land and put as many stands up as possible just to discourage others from hunting this public land. Maybe next year get in there early, say, August, put tree stands all over the place so you can keep the place to yourself after all, crown land belongs to the first person that places a tree stand or apple pile or pale next to a tree.

Crown land in southern Ontario is so rare that individuals leaving tree stand/blinds etc.... are selfish and lazy....

I would not hunt it either and just move on. Everyone should try and live by the "leave no footprint behind" especially on public land......

"Leave no footprint behind" to me is not a daily thing. You setup a site for the season and when you are tagged out you take it out. I mean how would you hunt bear, as an example. First come first serve...

We are talking southern Ontario where crown land is scarce. Most parcels of crown land (and we only have a dozen of these or so around here) down here are less than 100 acres that are surrounded by private property. Northern Ontario crown land is not the same as Southern Ontario crown land....

I'd feel badly that I just stunk their spot out but hey its public land. I would give it a wide birth as I hope others would if it was my stuff.
