Well my Grandpa died Saturday at the age of 98.
He was a WWII vet he went in through Italy when they stormed Juno Beach and I thank him for that.
My Grandma was a War Bride and her and my Mom(@2 years old) came to Canada from Scotland.
Grandpa met up with them after the war. Grandma passed away a long time ago.
I made my kids sit down and listen to his stories of the war and why we have such a great country to live in.

Condolences to you and your family. My grandfather was at Juno as well but took a different path through to Holland. We can't thank them enough...

My Condolences, I got my grandmother to write out alot of what she could remember of the family history. If he didn't maybe spend some time writing for your kids (and grandkids etc.).
