Has anybody here watched the HBO series "Newsroom" starring Jeff Daniels?
Most or many I'm sure have seen this clip from the series opening scene

In a later episode which focuses on the tea party and its roots, theres some time spent on just how polarized America has become. Given it was made long before Trump surfaced....its kind of scary how it's playing out.
Is it a case of a strong "anti establishment" movement. Or simply, so very many becoming disenfranchised (not all that different) and polarization. Aka has Obama narrowed the gulf, or widened it and worsened it. I think or suspect its more the latter and just more and more people becoming polarized.
We can see it here in Canada, although as always we are about 15-20 years behind.
The US has been a powder keg on a slow burn, for a long time...There are reasons Trump is so popular
Can only imagine Trump winning.....
Can only imagine how things between Cda and the US might go with Trump in the whitehouse and JT in Ottawa..lol

Trump is likely to put that petulant little brat JT over his knee and give him what he should have gotten years ago!

No, you're confusing Trump with Putin. Putin has a spine, brains & brawn.
Trump is a idiotic blowhard with little-to-no substance.

Putin will have naval bases and be drilling for oil in our Arctic before you know it. Maybe JT will visit them with an entourage of hundreds of ecocons and stamp their feet on the ice and "strongly protest". Then they can all take selfies with seals and polar bears, Wendy Mesley and Peter Mansbridge will do a 3 part series on it and the liberals will smile and fawn over JT the messiah. If we are really lucky maybe his wife will write and perform a song. That would be nifty.

Terry, you're killing me! LOL! They could invite David Suzuki and Paul McCartney!

McCartney and Sophie can do a duet and Suzuki play the harmonica. The Eskimos will be jubilant, likely break out into dance. Mansbridge is probably on his way to Ambercrombie's to get outfitted in a $2k Canada Goose Parka with custom CBC logo. Probably be red in color

Trying to defend your petulent child again, by changing the subject? He's an intellectual lightweight let alone a political one.

As for Putin, looks like Russia is happy "Canada is back"...... back on their side I guess... Georgia, support for Assad, Crimean, Ukraine, ally of Iran..... Brian Lilley had a good statement... "known by our friends"

As for Trump... he might just be the one to take on what needs to be done on immigration, illegals, foreign policy, debt....little regard for political, maybe a bit too much self but alot more results oriented... and for the Democrats Clinton would make what Trudeau will do to Canada look genius I suspect.
