CVA Wolf and CVA Optima Muzzleloader Comparison
Good Video for guys who are contemplating buying a ML this year and want to know the differences between these two options offered by CVA.
Interesting while listening you pick up on some of the regulations that some States have on MLs during their seasons, really quite restrictive.
CVA’s new line of “Northwest Guns” offer all of the features that shooters love in our Accura V2, Optima V2 and Wolf break-action models, while still meeting the open-breech/ignition requirements of Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Our patent-pending NW Ignition System features a modified version of our Quick Release Breech Plug (QRBP) – the only breech plug that is completely finger removable even after multiple firings. This “NW QRBP” has four milled “windows” around the gripping surface, which renders the ignition “open to the elements” as required the muzzleloading regulations of these states. It also features an integral nipple designed for use with traditional Musket Cap primers, and the face of the plug is funnel shaped for more reliable ignition with loose propellants. Plus, a firing pin sized specifically for musket caps and a stronger firing pin spring provide fast and reliable ignition of the propellant charge.

Nice rifles. But I am not a huge fan of "modern" muzzle loaders. I seem to be going in the opposite direction in my old age. I sold one of my percussion rifles to finance a flinter build.

Me too...stepping back from in-lines to percussion. Next Christmas I will look to get myself a Flinter...

Ha!! I don't think I will step back that far.........but I would like to build a cannon and put in on my front lawn and aim it at THE neighbour who doesn't like hunting or guns........................Daniel

Has too much time on their hands
Anyone that was looking for a muzzle loader are local CT store has the wolf for 175$..
