Default Late winter coyotes - when is it time to stop ?

Just wondering what others figure is the right week to call it quits (recognizing that they will be having pups shortly)

is it soon or have we got another month ?

Intentionally going after coyotes ..... no later then mid March for me.....
Coyotes are pretty cool to hunt, but killing a mother and leaving the pups to starve to death in the den, not so much. If you kill the mom after it has given birth, you need to do the right thing, find the den and finish them all off.

As much as I support the hunting of Coyotes I have a problem with knowingly causing pups to die a slow death. Nature is cruel, I get that but my opinion is kill them quickly and humanely. This is why we don't run our bird dogs when the chicks are too young to escape.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

My take may be different than some but living in the country with yotes all around & having them teach their pups how to hunt / kill / maim my chicks , chickens , calves & dogs etc I have no closed season . Yes if a milking female I find pups as well . Luck

I usually pack it in when Turkey season starts. This year,we'll also need to be careful of Bear hunters. I will never take the chance of accidently hitting someone who's all camo'd up and I can't see, besides,I'm too busy getting the boat ready and fishing gear tuned up. That's not to say I wouldn't hesitate taking out a Coyote that's coming into my Turkey dekes, although,I've only had that happen to me once in all these years.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Thats the same here. We have shot three coming for a turkey dinner, none were wet. I don't think the es go too far from their den until the pups are whelping. The landowners would not appreciate letting a yote get a pass.......at anytime !

I have partial agree but those buggers in the late spring are hunting fawns non stop so if you see no fawns in the summer and just does you know why.. Plus they raid turkey nests. Nature is cruel but those pests do not get a pass from me...if I had my trapping license I would trap all year for them. You want great deer and turkey spots you need to take care of those yotes.

I can understand that, besides, it leaves some to hunt next year.
