Fly fishing for trout near north bay

Hi,

I'm am new to fly fishing and I was wondering if anyone could help me find some easy access rivers or shallow lakes that I can wade in to find any kind of trout. I am willing to travel a couple hours.

I'm not from the North Bay area, but 260+ views show that there are a lot of people looking for "spots". If anybody posts a hot creek/river/lake the next weekend there would be a ton of people there. I've seen nice areas literally destroyed because of a posting on a BB like this one after a few weeks. When I lived ib Scarborough I used to fish a neighbourhood creek that lot almost no attention. I had the entire creek to myself with easy access as it was in a public park. All my steelhead were CR and it became a great place to fish. Someone posted that they had a banner day on that creek and the next weekend the 50+ parking spots were all filled by 6:00 am. You could find a decent run to fish, never mind the messes left behind.

Go to to Google maps and look for promising areas on your own. Then try one after another until you find what you are looking for. Most guys won't post what they know are "good" spots after years of searching just because you ask.

try local tackle shops or buddy up with someone. There are no "secret" spots. All spots are visited by those that have done the leg work, you'll have to do it too.
