I recommend Chris Bayles and B-Line but seeing he recommended JerryRu I can certainly second that. Ruth has been breeding working labs for many years for good reason, simply outstanding dogs. I had one, miss her to this day.

Another one to check out is Scott Rumble, Gander Ridge Retrievers. I believe he just had a female drop a litter.

    Go to RTF.....retriever training forum
There are numerous litters listed with pedigrees/clearances etc

As per previous post CKC will deal with complaints in fact there is a new person in charge of shows/events/breeding

Currently in the south looking at a pup who is 10 weeks old and has registration back already. In fact you can do on line for AKC registration process.

To bad some of you had issues, I have bred some females for said individual and he was always prompt and complete with paper work required.

When you have produced as many litters as I have over the years errors/ delays will occur.

The dogs spoke about in this post are from the same litter. There were some struggles with the paper work on this litter. From the stud dog owner not informing me he co owned the dog. To ckc losing the entire litter worth of paperwork. But I kept everyone informed and answered emails / calls promptly.

Has there been delays on a couple other litters over the years?? Absolutely. It happens. Any breeder that tells you it's never happened has either not bred many litters or breeds to local ckc dogs only.

Breeding to an akc stud by AI seriously pushes the time requirements past the limits with all the signatures / mail delays and checks required.

On top of that CKC is known to be far from efficient.......

Anyway that was three years ago and most recent there's been no issues with papers since that time.

I am still producing litters/ dogs that are some of the top ft and ht dogs in North America. That being said I don't have a litter planned for 2016 currently.

My pups records speak for themselves.

Where there's success there's always someone that will trash talk.

If looking for a quality pup from a breeder that knows lines/ pedigrees and one that competes/ Hunts his dogs feel free to contact me. If I don't have pups I can point you to a great litter usually.

Good post Baby Duck and a very respectful reply. I have and most breeders have had the same issue with CKC in the past. It's very easy for paperwork to get misplaced or even thrown out by accident ! It has improved and will find out with my next AI breeding in June.

Very professional and well said. People need to realize that trash talk on social media about a business can lead to a law suit.

I this case Sharon unless something has disappeared I've seen nothing that would be actionable.
Yes a few have mentioned a problem with registration but no trash there. Actually both seem to have related a positive result with the pups.
Actually the complaints were mostly targeted at the CKC re: paperwork problems.
One question that may have been misadvised would also never been actionable as it never slandered or give any incorrect info.

Nice to have a lawyer on board.
