    Default PowerLine cut Parry Sound

I'm looking to do a spot n stalk spring bear hunt in the Parry Sound area. Can someone give me directions to an access point to the PowerLine cut where it crosses crown land? Or possibly an older clear cut area that have grasses in spring? Want to do some preseason scouting and need a starting point. Thanks for your help.

Used to go to Dunchurch, then head west to Ardbeg and the line. At that time we could drive up the line to the Lower Magnetewan.n

drive west through Ardbeg and stay on the road. It will take you right to the hydro line, they call it Black Lake up there. be very careful back in there because the frost is coming out and very wet. The road back there can become quick sand, in the summer the off road trucks are in there by the dozens.

Don't forget your fishing rod once the walleye/pike season opens.....
Is the McDonalds still in Ardbeg? Been over twenty five years since I've been there....

There was a McDonalds in Ardbeg?? WOW.. I would never have thought. There is not much left in that little town if you can even call it a town. Only thing there now is the gas station/restaurant. I have no idea how that little place could have held a McDonalds. Would love to see a picture of that!!
    When in doubt.... Throttle OUT!

That little restaurant was owned by the MacDonalds family when we used to go there. No arches.....

Don't know if McDonalds Restaurant is still there, been 20 yrs since I've been up there. Gooseneck Lake was good for pickerel back then and the last little lake heading west from Ardbeg, I think its called clear lake or little lake is great for small mouth. Ardbeg is actually a listed Ghost Town in Ontario.
