I dislike collars for that reason. Considering Nexgard for this season. Bravecto is another similar product.

I didn't have any problems with the Bravecto last season but may try Nexgard this season. Bravecto is a 3 month tablet and Nexgard is monthly.

Of course one Bravecto for 3 month treatment is three times the money as one Nexgard for one month treatment . My vet recommends Nexgard because she says that if the dog horks up a Bravecto and you find it sometime later in the back yard or under the couch or ... you are out a lot more money. She's a little neurotic but may have a point there.

Picked up a fresh supply of Nexgard and Heartguard. The Nexgard was about 30 bucks more ($139) than I paid for Bravecto last season. Add all that to the price of a spay and the bill was a doozy!

I picked up Bravecto today at the vet.
We decided to go with 3 pills that last 12 weeks each to cover most of the year as my dog is in the bush a couple of times a week all year.
    Does this make sense ?
