Good luck with this. Make sure that you do whatever physiotherapy they recommend and stick to it. Also, don't try to do too much too soon. It's better to wait a little and have everything working for the future.

Has too much time on their hands
Here's hoping to a speedy recovery greatwhite. Maybe you'll miss a few days afield his season but hopefully having the surgery done will extend your future seasons.

Oh I still plan (hope) to go camping in May, won't be able to do anything with my arm but hopefully I will be out. Has to be healed by no later then July.

I got a hook deeply lodged in my elbow on a fishing trip (my buddy drove a large treble into the cavity in my elbow while casting a large plus) and I needed to have a minor surgery to take it out. Just rubbing on the nerve caused numbness and discomfort. It wasn't the surgery you're having done, but it didn't take too long to recover.
All the best - I'm sure you'll be back at it soon enough.

Hope all goes well with the operation. I had all the nerves shorten in my left hand,then had sympathetic dystrophy. A team .of doctors and recovered 5.5 years later. Get well soon.

WTF, you had to stop hunting for 5 years??? Were you able to drive or anything else?
I don't think this is anywhere as sever as that I hope.
