    The latest update I found is that he is stable condition and that they are still trying to figure out how he came to be shot. The article is from yesterday so maybe they will announce more today.

    sure hope this didn't involve a tail fan mounted to a gun.

    Tail fan on a gun should not matter. If you can't see a beard you should not be shooting. That's it . pretty simple realy

    or..taking a nap at the base of the tree and have someone across the field not see you and shot you by accident with a load of birdshot...

    all sorts of scenario's, they say Turkey hunting is one of the most dangerous for a reason.

    That is one of the reasons why public land turkey hunting scares me a bit. I hunt on a farm with three fields. You sign in to your field at the front gate, first come first serve. You sign out when you leave.
