Has too much time on their hands
Sad news for sure, they're one of my all-time favourite bands. Pretty cool that they're still going to tour this year.

Would like to go but can see scalpers and ticket bots scooping up tickets then selling them for ridiculous prices.

We'll be trying to get tix to the final show in Kingston. Failing that we'll grab tix to the second last show in Ottawa.
I can't really believe they're even doing the tour. Having had cancer myself... there'd be so many more important things I'd be focusing on if I was terminal.

I get it mott but this is obviously what he loves and clearly wants to do it . Better than sitting around and waiting to die I guess.

Was listening to Mike Stafford on AM640 at lunch on Tuesday when the band announced it and he said while I am not a violent man if scalpers try to make money off this, I think Hip fans have a free license to beat them to an inch of their lives. I know this is facetious but I like the sentiment. With that said, someone will buy the tickets off the scalpers at some point.
My mom had this cancer. It is terrible. If the man wants to tour, it is up to him. We had a saying for my mom, if that is what she wants to do, who are we to say otherwise (especially in the final months).

Kingston would be a great city for final show. Prayers go out to Gord, the lead to my favorite band ever.

Il be at the two Toronto shows and Kingston. The new album sounds awesome. I've personally known the band for years, from working with the Sadies and the mahones however Gord has always been a quite and shy person. I used to think he was a too cool for school type guy but it's just he's so reserved, as he is so quite with everyone. It will be a great send off. On a personal note the hip where a big help to me and my health problem by donating a few signed guitars that got auctioned off for my benefit this winter.
