Great catch! Man, they're fun on ultra lights. 
After the walleye bite stops during the day I've been targeting sunnies and bluegills and you're right, they are definitely bigger this year than in previous years. I've been letting everything go in hopes that the genes can continue to be passed on to future generations of fish.
If you get the chance, try throwing some small crankbaits as for me they've been catching the majority of the larger fish.
