Didn't get to chat, as he took off running when I got out of the blind he was gone; he didn't unload....400 acres and hard to police as they access from a creek running onto two concessions. Some trespass tickets issued..to little effect...

Has anyone heard any more information about this incident? I have hunted a few PO lands in that area...haven't since.
    Thanks & safe hunting!

Not to be crass, but doesn't this break our safe hunting streak? I remember hearing during my hunting class about how hunting was actually one of the safest sports and how we'd gone years without an accident.

But maybe that was years without a fatal accident ?

I hope the fella pulls thru, sounds like his area was likely a Turkey hunt - only other running season right now would be black bear, would much rather be hit with turkey shot...

I have never heard of any years without an accident. But yes it is still a very safe sport.

According to this stat below, hunting is the 3rd safest sport...only camping and billiards beat it out...
