Good luck bonecollector. You've done your homework before attempting something like this, which is a refreshing thing to hear.

Check out the Golden Retriever club of Toronto. They put on an annual health clinic event at the Graham Animal Hospital. Unfortunately for you this has already taken place this year. But you can find out when they are putting it on next year and save yourself a bunch of time and money. I know hips elbow and eyes cost about $340 this year as my boy Jim was tested so that he could start breeding. Anyway you might be able to find other clubs putting on events that are similar that will get you a one stop shopping for this or contact the aforementioned club to find out when their next clinic will be held.
Good luck!

If you go to www.canuckdogs.com and select Ontario - events - health clinics - 2016 and it will list the health tests available, where, etc. The first link I have in my post should take you there.
Check occasionally for updates.
And you can also check with your provincial and national breed club.
