Skeg Repair
Well it happened.....I found a new rock on the lake! It messed up my prop pretty good and took a 3" chunk of my skeg off. I just picked up a new prop and was looking for a good guy for skeg repairs in the Hamilton/Burlington area.....anyone know of a good guy that does this kind of work?

Depending on the age/size/make of your motor it might be a lot better to just replace the lower half of the gearbox. Then you know how strong it will be the next time. A weldor might not heat treat his repair to manufacturers Spec, or might distort things when he tries.

Has too much time on their hands
You can also buy bolt on skeg repair kits. It is like a sleeve that fits over frame work of old skeg. Just google (image)skeg repair kit, lots of example. This will not work if busted cavity for gear oil. It is functional and works, I have seen two on boats in our lake at Park.

I ordered one through Amazon and the issue I have is that I do not have enough Skeg left on the back section of the motor to properly secure the second bolt. So back it goes.

Read my original post. I was not asking 'who' did this kind of work I was asking for a reference for someone that is good at this kind of work. Any idiot can sit their down at a PC and come up with a list of shops. Then to sign off with 'google is very friendly'.......please! I hardly call that offering advice in good faith.
Thanks for the other posts - greatly appreciated!!!! Apparently they read my post.
Not getting into a pi$$ing match here.......just stating the obvious.
