I guess the best way to prevent our governments from having to bailout our North American manufacturers again is avoid their product entirely and buy Korean. [emoji1]

Good post. You beat me to it. If they have nothing to contribute, they should just not bother.

Let them go belly up just like other businesses that are poorly run. Gives other car manufacturers opportunity to expand and move into a larger market .

Not picking sides or anything, but why is it, in so many threads any person who offers a dissenting view, or just one that doesn't go with the flow gets jumped on?Maybe the thread title should include "for fanboys only"? Aka only positive posts and GM lovers allowed.
First vehicle I ever bought was GM. It wasn't all that, it was "crap" and thus the odometer reading was under 100,000 and I've never gone back.
thats topical, contributory.
Bailouts of the auto sector, a different topic. On that topic sure wish my company had been bailed out...
AC
Auto Sector
Bombardier...who lol after getting bailed out yet again shuts a plant in TO (good job junior) and moves jobs to Mexico.
sooo many............
maybe the best way for any company to avoid going belly up is by making good products at competitive prices.
Its nice reading some few people getting 10years plus or hundreds of thousands out of their vehicles, however the fact of that matter is, that's the exception, not the norm. (And that's true of most manufacturers)

In this case, it's b/c the title of the thread is "How many miles on your GM truck?", and the dissenting response didn't go anywhere near answering that simple question. Which to me, sure looks like someone just trolling for an argument. And it worked.

Had he said, for arguements sake
"I bought one, it was crap I sold it at Xkm or trashed it at Ykm and will never buy another GM product again..That would have been acceptable then? I don't see why not and really, that's what he said except he didn't give the mileage.
Agree the bailout topic could have gone unsaid. However everyone has their reasons for avoiding this company or that company
