quinte update
Friday - I was on the water at daybreak and did some top water fishing until 7 AM when I went to pick my grandfather up at the boat launch - all I got was a few bowfin follow's. I was somewhat disgruntled. After I picked my grandfather up we started trolling for walleye. . . . 9:30 the boat was out of the water with a limit in the live well. I actually didn't count, but we were over double digit's for total numbers. Fish ranged from 15 inches to 23 inches. Slow troll in 8-11 ft in and out of heavy weeds. I figured the storm coming had the fish on fire.
Saturday morning trolling by 7:15. We only had a couple hours. Trolling didn't last long as the I couldn't control the boat with the wind. I didn't expect much action as in my experience post thunderstorm walleye don't cooperate with me. I was wrong, drifting and casting in the weeds 5-10 ft of water produced another limit of walleye. Off the water by 9 and doing chores by 10 lol.
With early spring and warm water the weeds are up. Conditions mimicking the years I had from 2009-2013. Should be a great summer for the Walters on the BOQ!

Great update! Thanks for sharing. I'm going to head out with the kayak Friday if the weather is decent.
