1. Do a meet and greet, food, beer. Leave the range trips for another day. Think about how much of a $%1T show it can be organizing people you know...now throw in a bunch who you don't...

2. Pick a date and time, and a location, and that's it. If you seek everyone's input and availability you'll be here for another 3 months and 7 more pages of posts. Just try and avoid long weekends....

Hi everyone,

i'm new to hunting/shooting, in Burlington and need to meet people more experienced than me (ie everyone). I saw page 1 and thought i missed a great opportunity then got to the last post and realized i'm still in luck.

Hope it works out, I'm away Aug 13-20 but will keep an eye on this.

Any local hunters who can pass along some advice/mentoring words are welcome to PM me.
