It would be hard not to where I hunt and live. Water everywhere and on top of that ridges and creeks goes together and happen to be my favorite spots.

There is one river and 2 small feeder streams where our gang hunts. They are great places to set up and watch the deer cross them to get away from danger. Making it easier to find where they are bedding down in the day time.

Deer where we hunt tend to use the lower areas around creek beds to move during lighter times of the day, move out into the open come evening.

The outcome of this poll is somewhat meaningless as it throws apples and oranges in the same basket.
It really depends where you hunt: There are not that many water bodies in farmland and you cannot avoid some sort of water close by in the shield.
So what is the actual question?
If you ask if deer are ducks, you would expect 100% No (minus some jokes) or 100% yes if you ask if the lay of the land influences deer patterns?
