    I have a 18.5 foot Polarkraft with a 75 etec tiller. I wouldn't go back to a console.
You have more room, and better control. The bigger tiller motors have good steering assist, so you aren't fighting the steering. With the power trim, I just trim it out until the steering gets easier. I fish Erie with mine. That boat posted is one sweet rig, and should take anything Erie can throw at you.

I run an 18' Crestliner with a 50 Etec, soon to be a 60HO. Great for fishing with kids and those less experienced trolling as you can see everything and net fish from the back. More room in the floor area as well. I've looked at the Crestliner Pro Tiller 1850, would love a bigger tiller, just can't justify the cost

Certainly a nice boat, I personally don't like losing all the floor space with the cargo holds. They are really nice but unless you are filling them all it takes up to much floor space. I have a 20ft polarkraft outfitter with side console at the back, I like facing fully forward with out twisting, but that just me. The 2 live wells is a must IMO, I had the option to put in mine and didn't.

Still a really nice boat and Alumacraft is a good boat for sure.
