As an avid photography I appreciate those pictures! Especially the night shots!
Also good that you didn't get skunked! I haven't been out this year, too much foliage still on the trees so I am waiting until thanksgiving to go out.

Real awesome pics for sure.
I have been reading quite a bit on the forum on how the grouse up here are sporadic this year and some folks have not been seeing many.
I have been out since Sept 15 and can tell you that location is everything.Get deep in the backwoods and stay off main trails for those of you coming up north.I assure you there are lots of birds out there.Ruffed,Spruce ,Sharpies.and woodcock.

Numbers this year seemed to be down. Given the number of folks we saw on Saturday, it's becoming fairly clear that Shining Tree is receiving significant pressure from folks from areas like Sudbury etc.
Going off trail is always the best bet, except with so much foliage on the trees right now, it was a non-starter.
"Camo" is perfectly acceptable as a favorite colour.
