Default any luck for pheasant wmu 88

Wondering if anyone was out for the opener today in southern district wmu 88. Went out for 5 hours with no luck, couple rabbits were seen which fall 2 days OOS. Checked out at least 150 acres of local spots where we have got them in past because of release programs, emailed Pheasants 4ever chapter president about a month ago to see if there had been any release programs , but no answer.

Could be wrong rem1100, but I don't think there are many pheasant releases occurring in WMU 88 anymore. The Thorald Legion Conservation Club stopped their release program, and Thorald stopped issuing Twp. licenses as well.

Pheasants Forever was trying to do some habitat work for pheasants in the area some years back, but not sure what they're doing currently. If their President didn't respond, that's never a good sign.

If you're wiling to travel and pay for a non-resident twp. licence (~$22) Norfolk offers a release program still.
