Have you been on the lake before? very long lake (22 miles) not too wide (3/4 to 1 1/2 mile). river system at north end is another ? miles. West arm is a sanctuary in the spring, check your regs. cottaging or staying at Camp Kenda up the river?Walleye, pike,sm bass, lakers and whitefish, not too bad fishing.

if long weekend get there VERY EARLY or ramp/parking will be jammed beyond belief. there are a couple of tent sites a mile or two up on the left side. 1 before Rock Island and 1 behind the island i think. there are lots of places where you can probably pitch a tent
fish the southwest tip of the island for smallies, walleye ,and pike. the docks at the landing are all spoken for so you would launch, tie up at one for a minute, park truck/trailer and head out. take a lake map with you. typical rocks, and lots of stumps as it is a flooded river/reservoir that gets raised and lowered every year. like i said a big lake i could go on forever blah, blah ,blah. ENJOY Benner.
