Well, I've owned one of these and I'm of 2 minds when it comes to recommending them...
If you're into 22s, have a good one already and feel like getting one of these for the price/novelty factor~I'd say go for it. I think it's very much worth that asking price, and they have the heft of a full-sized rifle for sure. I found it a little thick around the wrist (and I have man-sized hands
) , a little heavier than you might think...but fairly accurate with open sights. That set-up looks OK (not sure what that optic is) but using a standard scope, the rear sight gets in the way. It's built off of the Norinco JW series...which is a clone of the CZ452/BRNO 2 and as a result, CZ452 mags usually work in them. Bolt throw is CZ-high, so, high rings are required, and not an overly huge scope. However, it is a Chinese made rifle and being consistent with that, the wood usually nicer than you'd expect, metal not AS nice. Trigger on mine had lots of creep, but was consistent and not overly heavy.
If you DON'T have a 22 and you want to buy one that might end-up in a hunting role, I'm not sure I'd consider this the best choice. For the price, it's not a BAD choice...but...for a rifle you'll be carrying around allot you would probably feel better with something else in the long run. I could make a few suggestions, but you're asking about this gun..so I'll stay on topic.
They're fun guns...look cool, shoot well...and I liked mine enough that I'm even feeling a little temptation to contact Marstar myself.
