If the police won't take action :

    LowbanksArcher OK now I'm confused.
At one point in this thread you ask "Does the land owner need to attend court?".
Then you state "This is a section of bush we own that even I've never hunted. I try to keep it as a sanctuary and it tends to hold matriarchal does."
    Do you own this property?
If yes than you could press charges.
Are you concerned if you press charges if you will be required to attend court?
If you are the owner & they fight the charges yes you will have to attend court.
If your not the owner than to press charges you better have the legal right as a assigned legal representative of the owner to attempt to press charges.
Even then the legal owner may be required to attend if your authority to lay charges is challenged.

Straight up!!! Maybe it should have read "SOB trespassers".....perhaps that would be more, "politically correct" than "SLOB trespassers"...either way, it works for me...then again, I'm not the overly sensitive type

Your best bet is to call the MNR and try to get the CO in your area involved.

Just to clarify, first trespass ticket is usually $75.
Which is even worse to try and deter people.

Yes,I'm well aware that hardly anybody gets whacked the full monty on a first timer which kind of makes a mockery of the whole thing, doesn't it?
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Charged under the F&WCA its $100 as 2014. Still not enough but will usually deter most offenders from returning.

Yes, my name is on this property as one of the owners. Maybe I should have just stated "do I have to attend court". I'm just curious what's involved
