Default 92B controlled hunt Nov 21 to Nov 27

Good luck to those hunting in 92B Nov 21 to 27. I'm sitting this one out this season. My one & only deer seal went on a nice 6 point in October & our camp rule is you must bring a deer seal to camp in order to party hunt for the week. Long story short but I wont buy a fall Turkey tag next season & go bow hunting for Turkey because I have a hard time passing up a legal deer that is standing still in bow range. LOL

Too bad because I have sole permission on some great deer property to hunt on. On the bright side those deer will be unpressured & I might be back to party hunt in the late archery season after the 3rd controlled hunt...

That seems like a silly rule. Good thing that you already have a freezer full.

Same boat here, I feel I am missing the best part of season, when the snow flies and the big bucks are still roaming around.
Keep thinking about traveling a little further north where the are still extra tags.

Hey Jeff, we just finished muzzleloader last wk up there, we brought back a nice 9 pt and a 4 pt, the 9 pt had a lot of fresh battle wounds and antlers full of bark from rubbing, he was hot on a doe at 9:30 am when shot, the rut is happening right now

    Great job B dog.

I really wish we had additional M/L seals again. I will miss hunting with the group. They have 6 guys hunting this year & 6 tags & I have wished them a good hunt. If they would have let me in on the party hunt this year I would have taken no meat & been very selective as to what I would shoot. All is not over for me though. I have the late season Michigan M/L hunt coming up in early December that will be a buck only for me. I am just looking forward to be able to hunt again even if I don't see a legal animal...

    Cheers

That's how she goes I guess. Find another group in a zone with a regular ml season.

I'd still put you in the bush - another gun equals one more chance to fill remaining tags. Who cares who shoots them....

I agree with this. My issue is I am a bow hunter first and just happen to be hunting by myself when I took that buck. I was proud to put my seal on that buck.

Things will be different next season I can guarantee that...
