Wiped out from what? A disease that isn't here yet? DNR's are ending baiting in CWD area's throughout several states. There's arguments both ways on whether it's necessary or not. IMO, it's common sense that gathering animals to where they'll exchange saliva can only increase the spread.

However, that won’t do much to prevent the spread in winter yards. I think the chances of spreading CWD are much greater in a deer yard than in a baiting scenario. But that’s just my opinion.

I ran a poll last year on the Excal site and the results where similar, 50-50 hunting over bait and not.
