Chanterelles already. Awesome. Did you find them around St. Thomas?
It has been really disappointing so far. Got my first feed between two trip mid July, usually it comes late June, and went to look for some this week end and nothing. The bush is really dry, we need some rain up here.
Last year was amazing for chanterel (still have a few pack in the freezer) so I don't expect to be that good this year anyway. Seems to be a cycle just like most harvest, apples, berries and so on...

What sort of tree species?
Age of trees?
Undergrowth species?
