I'm kind of thinking of building a fish micrometer in my boat so I can get down to thousands of an inch and win the argument if called on it.

There have been at best 3 sitting days of court since the 23rd. No the charge has not been dismissed by a JP your friend in the boat won't have even made it to a first attendance as of yet, and I'm pretty confident you have no idea how the court system works by the statements you've made. Further to that, the MNR can not influence a PON that has been issued by another enforcement agency. I'm not going to argue this with you any further. The laws are the laws, they are there for reasons. In this case to help protect declining Walleye pops, something people here participating in this thread complain about all the time. They also complain all the time about the lack of enforcement. I guess except when it happens to them or someone they know.
We can be charged for doing 103 in a 100
We can be charged for walking down the street with a cold beer on a hot afternoon
We can be charged for Jay walking
We can be charged taking pics of OOS fish.
If you or anyone you know happens to be fined for something you think is insignificant. Man up imo, take it "like a man". If Im ticketed for doing 105 in a 100 I might think the leo woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but guess what. I chose to speed, not going to whinge about it. Likewise if I forget the flashlight in my safety kit. My mistake, not going to whinge about it. And if Im ever ticketed for having a fish 15 min before the season opens at midnight, or slightly out of the slot. My choice, or my mistake (maybe my watch is 20 minutes fast)
Oh and Monster, only because it is kind of ironic. And you will have to trust me when I say I'm smiling as I type this. Through out, you and other have argued the OPP have far more important things to be doing.
Yet, you or your friend forced them to attend court if thats how it played out when they should have been doing what? Ah, yes been out there fighting the bad guys, keeping us safe. And why, because you or your friend screwed up, kept a fish a little too large. Had your friend maned up and thought to himself..wow that cop must be having a bad day, but yeah I did screw up, no ones fault but my own really.....
He wouldn't have wasted the JPs time, the tax payers dollars and that constable would have been doing what so many here argued.
