I see the bags all the time all over hiking trails in county forests, personally I'd rather step in it once in a while rather than see all the litter of bags.

I agree with dean.f. I would rather have the animal poop left natural on the ground instead of having to walk past all the bags thrown on the ground, under bushes and along shorelines.
They started it here Sharon..dropped of the green bin at the end of my 1/2 mile gravel laneway. Those 3" plastic wheels will never make it to the road from my house. A gave it away :)
Here's the kicker...in order to pay for this environmental 'Green Bin' program, the municipal garbage bag tags jumped for $1.75 to $2.75. That's right a $1 increase per bag.
But good news for Townies, they can put their dog poop in the bins !!

Changes to residential waste collection in North Grenville will go into effect February 1, 2021 and will include: biweekly solid waste collection; weekly source separated organics collection (food waste, wood chips, kitty litter & dog waste, paper food bags and used pizza boxes); and the introduction of curbside leaf and yard waste collection and bulky item collection (up to 4 events per year).
I've found a pretty good way to deal with the dog's poop. You wait until your older sister is preocupied, then you put the little baggies under her front car seat. There's also added entertainment value, as you listen to the recorded voice message that gets generated. ......never gets old.
You are bad..... LOL
