I use the Dogtra 2502 T/B 2 dog unit . Nick is needed for the JRT often. No problems with the unit for many years. Only problem is making sure I change the tab to the right dog. :)

I've been happy with this bell from GDS, Flewelling Nickel medium range, seems easy to hear out to 100 yards or so in combination with the T&B for locate/point.

Hey!! :) The Jack Russell Terrier ( no longer called that actually) is a wonderful , independent , fun loving dog - not for first time dog owners. It is the most common dog in dog shelters as it so cute, but more than most people can handle. I rescue them often.
The reason he gets the "nick" is because he likes to hide in the bush and wait for the setter to run by at which time he wants to grab the setter . NOT allowed so gets the well timed nick. Great rabbit dog.
