Cabelas - New Policy and form - Buying Reloading Components

Ya I have been shopping lots there lately, and it is where I got the Ruger PC 9. At the same time they had a bunch of reloading consignment as well. I got a 4lb jug of Vitravori 3N37 at a good price and 1000 shotgun primers 209. The knock off Glock mags are $41, and the Magpul were $29 at Cabelas..hence the trip. I got the Uplula (magpul), quick pistol round loader as well - have no idea why I didn't have this tool before for pistol mags...man it is so easy to load mags now.

For those commenting about DL - it has been a requirement when buying, powder or primers to show and record DL - that is/was not my issue - it signing a liability form on behalf of a corporation - that is a no go for me.

I looked on-line and didn't see any requirements to fill out a liability form to buy/order Primers on-line from Cabela's.

Love the ruger pc, do you know anyone who needs the spare ruger mags that come with it I have 2 and they are just downstairs collecting dust never even loaded up a single round for them, also is the loader for the mags that much better to help load???? I was very curious about it but for like 45$ I didn't want to purchase it and realize it doesn't work lol

When showing your drivers license do you need to show other photo ID to prove you are the person on the drivers license? Then why have a picture on it?

I was at Sail in Burlington last week and purchased 2 flats of target loads. Only showed my PAL. They didn’t ask for the DL.

Exactly. You need a firearms license and another piece of ID that shows your address, which for most people, is their driver's license. I'm not sure if there is any other government issued ID that shows your address.

I plan to leave this country before they start kicking doors down of anyone with a PAL. They're heading that direction at full speed already and I pray for their souls when they do

Pretty much correct except that it was Bob Rae who brought in the Ammunition Act.

Yes, Bob, good old Bob brought in this legislation. All we asked for was PAL for ammo, no other ID. For powder, different legislation, {Energy, Mines, and Resources} we just asked for name and address to put on the invoice. Some customers balked at that, so it just became easier to ask for driver's license, which is what some of the other staff did. Nothing required for primers, other than we wouldn't sell to anyone under eighteen. There isn't much of anything in the store that we would sell under eighteen.
