You make it sound simple. Yes I can choose not to travel but if I don't travel my family goes hungry. Some jobs can't be done over a zoom call. While you are at it you might as well tell restaurant owners that if they didn't want to go broke because of lockdowns they shouldn't have owned a restaurant.Quote:

Well said. Everyone is in their own little cocoon by government decree. Humans are a social animal by nature.
Eliminate gatherings and you control the masses. Countless are isolated and suffering from anxiety and mental health.
It is cruel and a farce for those already vaccinated to still have to wear a mask and be under lockdowns.
A crime against seniors of gigantic proportion at this time.
We only have to look south of the border where areas of these lockdowns and mask laws have ben eliminated.
Not everyone is vaccinated.

The Canadian government and provinces have failed to prove anything in regards to a pandemic except fear mongering to pursue their agenda.
They know that if they eliminate the masks and lockdowns people will say "Why do I need a vaccine?"

My point is that it’s a lot of rhetoric. The quarantine is to try and protect the population. Are there flaws, yes. As we all know, every level of government is doing this on the fly. Some will argue to little to late. Others will argue, they aren’t doing enough. There is nothing they can do that will please everyone. People were warned about it in advance. Other than those victims of assaults that have been reported, I have zero sympathy for those that are whining about it.
The reckless infringement of civil liberties on a select group of the population without sound scientific evidence to back it up is of grave concern.
These people are being interned without actually being ill. Otherwise, they should be hospitalized if deemed to be.
Punished for the simple act of travelling on a pleasure trip. No different than business frequent flyers and I know a few.
They are creating classes of people. Essential and Non.

Last I checked, Covid was a significant health concern. Hence the testing and quarantine.
I’ve no issue with your right to believe whatever you wish. It doesn’t supersede my right to a) disagree, b) mock that belief.
No I don't qualify as essential although I believe all jobs are essential to the people that rely on them to put food on the table. I am not complaining about the quarantine it's now just part of my job wherever I go, but I do feel our governments current approach has gone from preventative to punitive and lacks proper scientific evidence. When you allow the government to break laws, take away freedoms and increase their power because of an emergency, they will always create an emergency. The unelected medical officials advising the government have become drunk with power and won't give it up easily.Quote:
