You haven't read much feedback from folks that have had to stay in one have you ? Nightmare stories online .

Tucker does take it to the extreme and embellishes the commentary, that's his job...but the underling facts are still there and it's not a story being cover by our Liberal MSM.

I know 8 people who've stayed in airport hotels until their tests results returned. No horror stories from any of them. Sorry to disappoint the delusional but the Sheraton Gateway Terminal 3 isn't Birkenau.

And this is just from what they could put on the NEWS...story on line include things like you can't order food in, guards keep you in your rooms, food is horrendous etc etc...all for $1000 for 3 nights.

Kept in rooms for sure. That's what quarantine means. The BS is not being able to order in food. The people I spoke with said when the hotel food wasn't acceptable they could order off the regular room service menu at extra charge (including booze) or order in and have it brought to their room.

As for the cost it's on them. They chose to ignore the government recommendations against travel and the government is taking action to keep non-essential leisure travellers from bringing back virus variants.

My only objection to the government program is that it came a year too late.

It can't. But essential workers are exactly as described, essential. Non-essential leisure travellers indulging their whims provide no benefit to broader society but present an equal risk of bringing back the virus.

The reason for the hotel quarantine might be that the first recorded instance of the British variant in Ontario came when a UK traveller visited his Canadian relatives over Christmas.
