You don't seem to understand so let me explain, first off in the article, the Libs actually did it first. Second so do you think it is in national security or defence not to tell a federal judge why they are seizing law abiding citizens property, spending about $700M+? I mean, if your point is to say the Conservatives did it first then read your own article, the Liberals did it first actually and if it is the second then the about 100,000 firearm owners are a threat? The govt own statistics show that the owners as a threat is b.s, seems they don't have a reason and hate telling the facts.

That video reference I would say is about the Liberal abuse of power and coverups, it is about a publicly known OIC order that affect about 100,000 owners and the reason for it is being requested is to a Federal judge, NOT the public. The Libs have a long history abusing privilege and non disclosure, such as the case on the Winnipeg lab, the WE Charity, SNC investigations etc. Here, if is more a Wuhan Pneumonia thing but abusing privilege is a common thread.

As for the case of the boy at 15 he should have known better, in many countries would be an adult and he is being tried as such and depending one of the many mishmash of laws that each state has (about what Trudeau is trying to copy with handgun bans by municipalities) there could be unsafe storage, crossing borders and a huge variety of laws that will come in play and I wouldn't trust the media to disclose without a few references. They say he was being bullied but unless he actually felt there was a threat to himself or his family imminently there is no justification, he is responsible, beyond that is right now speculation and the local laws.

When confront with such a question my starting point is the fact that the world is in an over population crisis. As a result people continue to get on to each others nerves, and the stress is pushing people over the edge, particularly the younger generations. There is more to it but you have the fundamentals of the beginning.

You mean confronted with your opinion.

Setting aside the broader societal issues of why Americans so casually accept the regular slaughter of children in their classrooms or people at theaters, concerts, night clubs, etc. the point is responsible gun owners do what it takes to keep firearms out of the wrong hands especially if those wrong hands live under the same roof. When they don't and their guns are used to kill someone the owners deserve to have the full weight of the law fall upon them.

This statement is correct as no one person knows all the reasons for what in my opinion has become a disfunctional society, but I believe among the top three are the breakdown of family values, massive media flamed hysteria as well as the political correctness movements of many minorities such as BLM, Q, ACM, LGBQ and a host of other acronyms.

The societal issues are not an excuse for a Michigan gun owner who bought a handgun and left it within easy reach of a kid that he knew had some serious emotional issues.
