Sadly 73hunter, they are being accommodated, at the cost of somebody else
Certainly not unity, far from it.

They (the facilities) should work on updating their restrooms, shower facilities to accommodate.... How hard would it be to build dividers.....
I think about when I used to take my son swimming in at our local community centre.... Change rooms were used by both sexes, we just went behind a door/stall and got changed there. No reason why something similar can;t be done at gyms etc..... Have to change with the times.... :)
I guess we can agree to disagree.
They are not updating their facilities period. Just a written notice to members as noted.
Any man dressed like a woman should not be in female facilities, tomorrow dress normal and use men's facilities. There is nothing to be accommodating to that imo.
Change with times, no thanks
So what about the 16 year old boy that’s taking estrogen and has breast. Forced to used the men’s room? Where he will be made to feel less, potentially ridiculed, or bullied (schools). It’s that old expression. Walk a mile.
It’s taken 100 years to accommodate people with physical disabilities. Why is it, when it comes to chemical imbalances and things we can’t see or understand we are less tolerant and understanding.
Imo if public facilities, and workplaces can be forced to to make places accessible to those with physical differences. They can be forced to do the same, for those with chemical differences
This is why nothing ever changes and the CONS have to be centered to the left. Well if that is the cost, so be it - but it is also why things never change and only less conservative (if that is even a policy under CPC). It is also why you should vote for parties like PPC or libertarians - The Ontario Party was started by the LBGT community in 1983 - you see because we value individual liberty and self identity and feel the state should make no laws that interfere with the rights of the individual.
Remember - The smallest minority on the earth is the individual - governments should make no laws that interfere with an individuals right to life. When government in good attempts try to regulate morals it actually infringes on other rights to life. Example is the self identified as a man using a women's washroom, in the presence of younger or older females. The ironic bit is, a porta potty has been gender neutral since made, and so is your home bathroom. SO the real problems is laws that harm others rights - while trying to protect some rights.
You should as a business be allowed to make your own rules and make just single NO-NAME stalls problem solved, no lawsuits, no scared parents, no complaints - it IS the wording on doors that makes it illegal/demeaning (to transgendered people) to enter Male/Female. A gas station has no Male/female signs and it is no issue...and neither does your home...no problem..see the logic
Stop being programed to right based issues - it keeps you loyal and uneducated to the real problem. Government always makes problems....an issue...... to ensure they can look good solving them....keeping you vote loyal.
See your answer is exactly the problem...they should do XXX to accommodate - ensure the state still controls the outcome. If the state said here is a giant tax break, convert all your bathrooms to single stalls, with a door and only label them "washroom - knock before entering - there would be no need for anymore GOV action. Any egregious entry woul din fact be lewd, assault, illegal entry on the individual. There would be nothing to protest, fight, sue, grieve or launch human rights complaints over. Like a Porta Pottie…..Think people - stop being led.
I'm very progressive and cater to the needs of one and all. This the guest lavatory at my place.
It's history goes back a few hundred years and has served humanity well.

I am not sure how my answer is the problem. I think we are on the same page here? Build individual gender neutral stalls and we are all good.... Seems simple to me. As long as there is a locking door, it all should be good.
A little off topic, but why do we in 2021 have urinals without dividers, that is just creepy....
