Dynacare has shut down many of its labs in Ottawa. Normally for a blood test, I can run in and get the test done in about 10 minutes and come in contact with no more than about 5 people in the waiting room. But now they've closed many of the clinics, so now for the same thing, I wait three hours and come into close contact with between 50 and 100 people all also waiting. So how are these "covid measures" helping.
Same think at the liquor store. Reduced hours. So now instead of being in the store with about 5 other people, it's double that.
In March, when they shut down every second cash at the Kanata can-tire for social distancing, the resulting lineup went half-way around the store. From where I was, I could count 72 people, but I couldn't see the whole line.
Apparently the people making these rules don't understand what end-result they are trying to achieve - less people in contact with each other.
It's a level of stupidity that is hard to comprehend.
