Covid-19 precautions and deer camp/ group hunting

It's really easy for those of us who are financially "comfortable" with homes we own and carry very little or no debt and have investment income/pensions that (hopefully) continue uninterrupted to sit back and find fault,condemn and assign blame. We must,however,put ourselves in other people's places who are now unemployed,facing mountains of expenses with no means to cover the expense or business owners who face collapse from arbitrary shutdowns knowing their business will never survive,close and be gone forever. The vast majority face financial disaster and even homelessness in the not to distant future if we allow hysteria,skewed stats and political agendas to needlessly destroy our economy. There must be a balance. Collapsing the national economy definitely isn't it.

Second; The original question was about deer camps and Covid precautions... was it not ?
Third; If you want to whine about our government or the way things are being handled there is an "Off Topic Forum" with lots of that going on.
Finally; I wish everyone a safe and bountiful hunt !

im sorry to hear that, i didnt mean it towards restaurant/ business owners, more towards the general public who cant just stay home if they dont need to go out, i know multiple people who are just hanging out with large groups of friends everyday with no care in the world towards this virus.

So couple buddies myself had breakfast at Resturant close by owner was telling us group of 15 moose hunters got charge for not social distancing 15 under one roof hunt camp . $750 each max was 5-6 were they are

I go out once or twice a week to have breakfast with a friend. The restaurant likes our business and we enjoy some socializing in a safe environment. It's been open for a few months. You sign in when you enter so they can contact you if in any patron later tests positive. So far no calls.

Staying at home is killing small businesses, they have gone out of their way and invested huge sums to keep the customers safe. No reason to stay at home as long as you use common sense and follow the rules. The overall risk is low.

She was saying here it’s a 5 person limit unless family. Are November ML group is 6 in my shop same time Mnr can hit us for $750 each. Man they better watch themselves.

I think it's still indoor gatherings of 10 or under and outdoor 25 or under. So any camp of 10 or under isn't breaking gathering size laws.

The guys with 15, yeah. Lucky the "host" didn't get dinged for 10 grand.

No one asked for this pandemic, so I am not going to be guilted as if its my fault. This has affected all of us and our families in so many ways - we are all suffering.

Until I see solid stats that either justifies or disproves the mandated restaurant closures (which I hope they will share soon), with all due respect, your statement about the overall risk being low is just your opinion, not a fact. Until then, I am of the camp that wants to err on the side of caution and follow the advice of health authorities and doctors.

I feel really bad for SOME small businesses that have been affected, but again I disagree that they are all doing bad. Try and get a contractor to do some renovations at your house - they are all so busy that they will not come for months. There are many more examples where their business is booming.

Anyways, why don't we stick to hunting? I am going no matter what ! LOL

i get that mike, ive actually been ordering delivery when im at work, not to mention ive always been a stay at home kinda guy i never enjoyed going into restaurants but i do see what you are saying.
